Outside For Us helps you find outdoor places that fit your group. The information comes from public sources, research and other visitors, and it can be wrong or out of date. Conditions outside change quickly. You decide whether a place is safe for you. Check conditions yourself, follow posted rules, and turn back when something doesn’t look right.

You need an email address to sign in. Keep access to that inbox secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page or in the phone app.

When you post a report, verification or photo, you confirm it’s yours to share and it’s honest. You also give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to show it in the app and on the website. No harassment, hate, spam, illegal content, or photos of people who didn’t agree to be photographed. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If you delete your account, your reports and verifications stay up but are anonymized.

• Outside For Us is free. The free plan includes 1 saved trip, 1 group profile and 10 saved places. Outside+ costs $3.99/month or $39.99/year and lifts those limits. It also adds a supporter badge and early access to new features.
• Outside+ renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We charge the card on file through Stripe.
• Cancel any time with “Manage billing” on your account page. You keep Outside+ until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your account cancels your subscription right away.
• Founding Members: the first 500 subscribers keep their starting price as long as their subscription stays active. If you cancel, you lose the founding price.
• If a payment fails, we’ll email you and Stripe will retry. Outside+ ends if the payment still hasn’t gone through after the retries.
• Refunds are handled case by case. Email us if a charge looks wrong.
• Paddle safety information (routes, hazards, portages, mile markers and boat launches) is always free. We will never put it behind Outside+.

The app is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Outside For Us and its operator aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for injury or loss from outdoor activities. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
